Parents do not have the right to withdraw their children from relationships education. Parents have the right to withdraw their children from the non-statutory components of sex education within Relationships, Sex and Health Education (RSHE). If you would like further information about the content taught within RSHE lessons, please contact your child's class teacher. Having looked at the curriculum you still wish to withdraw your child all requests should be put in writing to the headteacher. Alternative work will be given to pupils who are withdrawn from sex education.
