Hunstanton Primary School will be increasing our school hours from September 2024, in line with the government requirement of 32.5 hours (6.5 hours per day).
The school day will start at8.45amuntil3.15pmfor Y1 – Y6 (with the gates opening from 8.30am.) Year 1 must be dropped off at the EYFS entrance and collected at the door by the trim trail on the far side of the playground. For Years 2 - 5 drop off and collection is from the school playground. Year 6 may enter their classroom through the main gate.
Reception (Early Years Foundation Stage) hours will be8.45amuntil3.10pm. Drop off and collection is from the EYFS entrance via the pathway from the main gate.
Children should arrive at school no earlier than 8.30am, unless they are in Breakfast Club.
For infant pupils, morning break is normally from 10.15am until 10.30am and the lunch break is from 12.00pm until 1.00pm. There is also an afternoon break from 2.00pm until 2.15pm. Pupils eat at 12pm.
For junior pupils, morning break is from 10.30am until 10.45am and the lunch break is also from 12pm - 1pm. Key Stage 2 children will eat at 12.30pm.
