Leadership Opportunities

At Hunstanton Primary School children can participate in leadership by becoming School Council representatives, Eco Warriors, Sports Leaders, Library Monitors, Playground Leaders and the newly introduced Wellbeing Ambassadors. The school also elects and votes for their Head Boy and Girl for the year along with their deputies.

These roles develop skills like confidence, responsibility, communication, and the ability to represent others.  

School-Wide & Community Roles

  • School Council Representatives: 

    Elected by peers, these pupils voice concerns and ideas to help improve the school environment and decisions. 

  • Eco-Warriors: 

    Focus on environmental initiatives, such as helping to reduce energy consumption and promoting sustainability in the school. 

  • Sports Leaders: 

    Elected to encourage school spirit, help organise activities, and act as positive role models within the sports and encouraging participation in physical activities.

  • Head Boy & Girl: 

    Y6 children who often represent the school in community events, and give prospective children and adults tours of our school. They may also assist with school events and assemblies. 

Support & Mentoring Roles

  • Wellbeing Ambassadors: 

    Provide support and guidance to other pupils, especially younger children, to promote positive mental health and well-being. 

  • Playground Leaders: 

    Organise games and activities for other children during breaks, helping to ensure a positive and inclusive playtime. 

    Curriculum & Resource Roles

  • Library Monitors: Help manage the library, organise books, and encourage reading among their peers
